Hi Ph, 

As you can see from the photograph of my lovely Grandie Niamh, DD & I had the same problem with her very long, thick curly hair...products we find invaluable are Pure Moroccan Argan Oil (don’t be tricked into purchasing an inferior copy of this oil, get the real thing), it’s not cheap but well worth avoiding the hair washing saga every couple of days; the other product we use is Johnson’s no more tangles conditioner, which can be sprayed on either wet or dry hair, we spray her hair every morning after it’s taken out of the plait, then either re-plait the hair or let it go free if she’s going out,  it’s cheap, cheerful and works wonders. Another hint, when washing  & conditioning Isla hair don’t  remove all the conditioner leave some remain. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS PLAIT THE HAIR BEFORE GOING TO BED AND PURCHASE A SATIN PILLOW CASE, no more little bits of cotton fluff  catching in the hair and causing those really nasty knots.  It’s high maintenance hair, but thankfully Niamh now enjoys getting her hair wash and brushed. I hope this helps with you cute little Isla.

Thanks so much for that advice, I will let my daughter know, as you can imagine, she has a hard time with washing Isla's hair, then in the mornings, Isla scream blue murder, when it is brushed.

My daughter will be forever grateful to you.

If it is okay, I will copy it and just give to my daughter when she comes to pick Isla up this afternoon.

Your grand daughter has beautiful hair, I have looked at her pic a few times, very pretty girl too.!

Long curly hair is, as I mentioned, very high maintenance, and I'm sure our neighbours thought we were abusing poor Niamh, she used to scream every time we washed, conditioned & brushed her hair, then I found this wonderful hairdresser, she advised us what to do, and stressed the most important thing to remember is to always plait the hair before bed-time, undo the plait in the morning, spray with Johnson’s conditioner brush and re-plait (French plait if you can manage it), then only let  the lovely long curly hair blow free when she's going somewhere special. The satin pillow is a must, would make a lovely ‘stocking filler’ for your cute little Isla.

Seeing that the discussion thread about the authenticity of my picture was locked when I read it, and now it is gone, I want to claritfy a couple of things.

First of all, Iza, don't worry. You just brought out what others really thought.

Peter and I have been working with PSP (Paint Shop Pro) for more than 12 years. Actually that's how we met on the Internet. We designed our wedding invitations from photos of our engagement party and the Church were we got married. And yes, the picture I posted is a photo of the invitation.

qc-tec, we corrected the spelling mistake after the first printout. It was all still a rial run. And NO, we did not pay anyone to print our invitations. We did it ourselves on glossy A4 paper. I even designed a nice front for all the envelopes.

You are such a clever man. Hopefully you understand what I am talking about.

Everyone can see how long I have been a member of eBay, but I don't participate in posting on the boards much, because there is always someone who likes to throw a spanner in any discussion.

I don't argue or fight with people. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, like it or not.

In future I will go back to reading only and not participate in posting anymore.

Erica, please keep posting and sharing your photos (if you want to). The majority of posters/lurkers have no issue with the photo threads and winners etc, please don' t let the one or 2 that do, affect your posting here.

I don't believe the majority of posters had any doubts/ negative thoughts/problems with your photo, it got the most votes. It is a lovely photo and deserving of winning the Happiness photo challenge.
