I thought the "challenge" was to take NEW photos....no?
I had a picture, but I thought someone else posted a similar one that was better, so I kudoed it instead.
I took this one tuesday at an Atlantic beach house. It's a barrier island that's still recovering from hurricane sandy.

Nice photo,Catmad ... was that the one that went to Iceland? Did he like it? My daughter is going there for Christmas.
It is a photo challenge. The idea is posters are encouraged to go out and take a photo or more each week to fit in with the weekly challenge theme.
The OP made a post about that a few back. I didn't realise that either until she made that post.

I didnt realise that either, until the post. I dont mind the mix of old and new, for eg. my shot of the blue smoke at the burn-outs was quite old, I wouldnt be able to enter that one if it were only new, but I think it fits. The side photo of me is new (and yes, I took it, an extremely rare 'selfie' as my kids were complaining there are very few photos of me as Im always behind the camera). I think if they all have to be new, its quite restrictive, or Im just unimaginative. LOL.
Not complaining Pimpy, its a great idea, I just think a mix of old photos and also some taken during the challenge week is more interesting.

I see my photo isn't the only one too large for the board. They used to fit, and I didn't change any settings? I take about a hundred pics a week and usually delete 80 to 90% of them.
I moved them to a PB album and will see if posting from there makes them smaller.

This one's no winner, but Joz and a couple of others might like it?
I was stuck in traffic due to a jack knifed tractor trailer. The car at the back (to the left)of the accident is a souped up cop car. It's a Dodge fully equipt with all the extras....and then some! There's a guy that loves to go to work!
And yes....it's dark blue....

I didn't say they had to be new photos.
I did say that I hoped people would get out and about and snap their interpretation of the prompt word. I love seeing peoples creativity. But old photos are great too, particularly at the start of the weeks challenge, they help get the thread going then as the week progressess you get the new pics, like Twinkles egg shell and Crystals pegs.
The main rule is that it is your own work. (sorry Ellie )
