He was born in August, plenty of time for other countries to get on board paying tribute to an amazing man. Good on Australia for putting it out there first.

Did anyone watch Compass last night?  It was a wonderful of Holocaust survivors coming to Australia and making a go of it.

I agreen with you, Tgse. He helped some of my family. Most of them made it to America with his help. A very exceptional man that risked his life for thousands of strangers.

He has been a hero of mine for a long time Erica - and it is heartbreaking to think that after all his heroism he died forgotten and virtually abandoned in a Soviet prison. I just hope he really did die in 1947 and didn't have to spend decades in misery.


I am actually feeling a bit emotional to Find I have a friend with a link to him. Do you know the details of any of those stories because they really, really deserve to be recorded?
