Hahahaaj, no I don't think I would, Tezza.
Looks like Dave Sharma is losing ground in the polls, so the point may well be moot.

I go for Dave Sharma.
why not Kerryn Phelps?
i seem to recall a previous sitting PM getting knocked off by woman, the world didnt stop turning, and at the next election the seat reverted to the old team.
in this case she will only be there a few months and a new election will see her gone and a new liberal 'yes man' installed.
why do people get so worked up over something so silly?
its a blue ribbon liberal safe seat that until the liberals knifed the sitting PM in it there would never be a bye election and therefore be no reason to lose it. even for a few months.
IF its lost its because the liberals threw it away!
luckily the voting public have short memories.
dont you think the voters in wentworth have a right to give the party a kicking for doing a really stupid thing?
I just don't like her policies.
Wants to sign the Paris Accord, which I think we should try to get out of.
Aims for 100% renewables by 2050, which I think would kill our economy, whilst enriching other country's.

seems to me her stands on anything really dont matter, as she will only be there for six months (maybe)
and in the event of a change of government the next govt will most likely be signing the paris agreement.
btw, tony abbott has allready signed it when he was pretending to be PM.
lib/nats just like to put their heads in the sand when anything big comes along, ie: legalising same sex marriage.
it was going to happen, nearly everyone said they were happy to give the gay community the ability to be married.
but no, the lib/nats made a big deal out of it, and look, now we have it, the world hasnt stopped spinning.
now its how do we make power going into the future?
lib/nats dont want to stop smoking, fine, but most of the rest of us do!
smoking will kill you (unless your very lucky)
most of us want to live as long as possible, and dont want our kids getting sick either.
their are plenty of smokers who smoke around their kids (dont care)
so we are changing laws, raising tax, all to make smokers stop.
the old coal fired generators are killing us!
whats important to you, cheaper power or your health?
do you really believe polution dissapears once in the air?
do you belive rubbish in the oceans disolves?
do the pictures of the massive carp pool in the middle of the pacific ocean not bother you?
do you not think we all have a responsibility to be NICE to our planet?
why should i care, i'll be dead seems to be the lib/nat answer.
so the experts may be wrong, but lets say they are not, our planet is facing doom.
if they are wrong, isnt a cleaner planet a good thing anyway?

I think that the polls don’t really explain the trend against the Government in this case. The disunity and backstabbing that has been going on since Abbott was knifed has been far worse and makes the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd episode look like a kindergarten spat. Added to that the oblivious pork barreling Morrison has engaged in (eg moving the Australian Embassy) has really diminished any respectably that they held after Turnbulls knifing even among the voting group it was meant to influence.
However, if they (The Government) end up with a hung Parliament” like” Gillard, will it be fair to refer to it as an illegal Government (as they referred to the Gillard Government)

niether labor or liberal coalitian can hold their heads high regarding the treating of government like a footy match, remove players at the drop of a hat to try to win.
but since Rudd lost in 2013 it seems labor has learnt the people will not support the kneecapping a sitting PM and have for 5 years had the same leader, even though polls have shown him to be less popular than the not very popular PM of the day.
however the lib/nats have learned nothing and are determined to test the theory lightning doesnt strike yadda yadda yadda....
allready they have been kicked in a number of bye elections, and this one could go either way.
if they do win today its most likely going to be by a very slim margin, remember MT was sitting in a super safe seat with almost an 18% buffer.
interesting times we are in.

OMG! i'm watching the ABC News coverage of the libs losing speech, its like they won, we have Joshy, and ScoMo and that guy who actually lost today acting like they won!
just had a huge swing against them in a seat so safe only a completely bankrupt government could lose!
ScoMo hasnt even let the loser concede defeat!
hes done a Trunp, pushed the guy out of the picture to give a bashing to the labor party.
how embarrassing!

well after about 10 minutes if not longer of ScoMo and Josh taking the mic and being very rude!
the lib candidate was given a go, and he actually spoke quite well, congratulated not only Kerryn but all the other candidates.
neither ScoMo or Josh gave Ms Phelps the grace of congratulations on winning the seat.
with a 22% swing!
that carp we just saw from ScoMo & Josh was a great example of why they just lost the seat!
