What Really Happens To Your Parcels

VIDEO footage of handlers at Adelaide Airport recklessly throwing packages around has gone viral with almost half a million views.

The 17 second video — shot by a member of the public from a car— has been shared over 30,000 times in the last hour.

It was first posted on the Facebook page of “Pinky BuaChompoo”.

The Advertiser has confirmed the name is an alias of a prominent South Australian kickboxer.

He has asked that his real name not be published.

“I was just sitting in my mate’s car when I saw them doing it,” he said.

“I was really p***ed off with their behaviour.”

“The reason why it bothers me is that I send stuff all the time internationally and domestically and the stuff ends up in damaged boxes.

They have shocking reviews, so the footage wasn't surprising.

The mob doing aust post parcels don't seem any better. I'm sick of getting damaged packages.

The "mob" delivering Australia Post IS Australia Post...they have their own courier service and subcontractors.

I was just telling our Auspost contractor about it, he said they throw the parcels the same. Otherwise they'd never get finished.

Truck comes in fully laden and gets sorted by the blokes throwing the parcels to blokes on the various trucks. Sometimes they get dropped. The heavier parcels are ok, but the lighter ones just get thrown.

StarTrack
, formerly Multigroup Distribution Services, Discount Freight Express and Star Track Express is a national Australian transport and logistics company owned by Australia Post, a Government-owned corporation.

Has even worse reviews

I must say, I've been fairly lucky.

in my 7 years of selling mostly porcelain and glass items, I've only had 2 breakages.

When I first started I took note of advice from experienced sellers with regards to packaging.

I also had a seller send me crystal serviette rings loose in a satchel.

Not broken but chipped and gave him a neutral.

Would have given him a big red dot if broken

My horror story is from Aust Post a few year ago.

Have a medium size PO box.

Paid $153.00 for a collectable magazine-marked please do not bend.

When i got the rolled up mag -bashed in trom the the back-was a card to pick up a

item from the parcel hatch a few metres away-this item was the size of a cigarette packet.

What were they thinking?.......................Richo.

Star trak was who I meant regards to aust posts parcel service.

I've recieved things that must have been drop kicked and run over before being load on the postie van.

I don't think we should have to insure against them. If they break it, they should cover the costs, assuming the article was properly packaged.
