but something to think about when casting your vote.
My personal view is that each person should be able to decide their own future in both these cases.
But in case you don't wish to share your own views I have added a poll.
If Tony gets in your choice will be very limited.

Abortions...personal choice...a womans right, her body, her decision.
Gay Marriage...I support this wholeheartedly

Thanks AM3, that is what I thought it was about....
so was I correct in my thoughts?
NO. Read back.
The purpose of the amendment was to clarify what a Civil Celebrant had to advise.
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.

To clarify that they must say .... between a man and a woman... therefore preventing a same sex couple from being able to become lawfully wed.
Which is what az said.

Current definition of marriage in the Marriage Act
March 2012
12. Subsection 5(1) of the Marriage Act currently defines โmarriageโ as the:
โโฆunion of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered
into for lifeโ. 6
13. This definition was introduced into the Marriage Act by the Marriage Amendment Act
2004. The Explanatory Memorandum to the relevant Bill noted that the introduction
of the definition was considered necessary to ensure that the traditional notion of
marriage as being between a man and a woman was not โerodedโ over time, and
that same-sex relationships could not be equated with marriage.7

Abortion = Pro choice
Gay Marriage = All for it... IMO It's celebrities like Kim Kardashian who are making a mockery of "traditional" marriage...
Also, marriage wasn't invented by Christians so I don't think they have any right to say who can get one and who can't
Separation of Church and state FTW!
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

These two topics aren't really related. I feel very strongly about abortion and a woman's right to choose and that it should be covered by Medicare. As to gay marriage... I have the perfect solution to all this nonsense - do away with marriage altogether. Problem solved. I still can't understand the Labor Party stance on this, it doesn't really make sense.
