Commonwealth Games organisers criticised after marathon leading runner left lying on the road
when does the right to run get passed by the right to help?
i think we saw it live right here, this guy should have been seen by medical staff the moment he fell.

Poor man - instead of being left there to suffer until the Powerful People decided it was right to interfere, he should have been declared "ill" not disqualified, and unfit to continue.

Yeah, it's pretty poor. A competitor's health must always come first. What isn't clear is how far away the medical staff were and how prepared they were to act immediately. One good thing that may come from this is a review of Procedure and improved responses in the future.
