Coca cola, Hamburgers, Disneyland, Big cars, War, Movies(Hollywood), Mattel toys and Peanut Butter.
And air conditioning!
And the first car air conditioner
Quite crude by design at the time, but it's come a long way.
Disposable units developed by the japs (I think it's jap, Lexus?) that doesn't run off the engine pulley belt.. so it doesn't lose engine performance.

That he is! I'm quite sure it's never occured to him that destoying the USPS would destroy thousands of businesses, both directly and indirectly.

@Did you like the beerbutt chicken? I use a can of Sprite instead, it gives the chicken a very nice citrus flavor.
Never been game to try it! Our texan made a bit of a video with it, it caused a sensation on the English forum though and was referred to for years afterwards. smileyhappy:

If I say that I think Americans are flesh and blood like any other human being, you can't be sure that I don't secretly think they are ... now what's the theory...? Oh yes... LIZARD PEOPLE. Or the walking undead - nosferatu. Or made of plasticine.
Just had an eerie thought.
Maybe Americans don't exist at all, maybe it is all a conspiracy theory to divert our thoughts so we lay blame for everything elsewhere.

Trains! The Americans really have it for long haul trains. Two floor layout, fantastic showers (as big as I have at home) and fabulous sleeper rooms and service.
We went from Toronto across the border to Dallas, then from Dallas to Seattle, what a fabulous experience it was on such a train, ...
Then there was the amazing train from Fairbanks (Alaska) to Anchorage in the middle of winter where the conductor sang old rainroad songs to us with incredible feeling. He had worked for them for years and everyone knew of him.

Oh, I'm SO pleased to meet someone who loves the long haul trains like I do! Or any kind of train trip really. I have a scottish cousin who lives to make me crazy with his tales and pictures of train trips with his wife and son, it makes me so jealous! My husband alwayshumored me when it was possible for us to travel by train, even though he would never admit that he liked it. And I know he did, because he was always relaxed when we hit our destination, in comparison to flying. He hated flying.

Honestly, you should try it, beer, pop, seltzer, anything fizzy that tastes good to you will do, and it makes an amazingly moist bird (excuse me, chook) with a smoky flavor too, and with a super crispy skin.
