 well no in fact it wasn't . its precisely what he set out to do.. fulfil a prophecy that said he would be killed. it verifies (if in fact you believe it ) that he was the person in the prophecy..  i personally have no idea, i dont claim it to be true or false. .. theres no way of knowing.
