What does faster broadband mean?

Isn't it a bit misleading when Tony Abbott says the coalition will deliver faster broadband than Labor?

Shouldn't he be pulled up on it?

Re: What does faster broadband mean?

I notice that both of those results are to servers that are under 50 miles distant and most likely they are to the local backbone that connects to the server.

As a comparison  why noy post some results that are off shore like perhaps India, UK or the US for instance?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Freaki could you please just keep posting them until you get a result that supports what plodz wants?

😛  i was reading  rogue scientist the other day, a source said that another well-connected source told him that he'd heard somewhere that rattan cane is more efficient than optic fibre if someone hits you with it often enough.

So what if they're to the nearest server.

You will continue to pick regardless.

I'm not here to answer to you.

Re: What does faster broadband mean?

No, of course it's not a cable result, assuming you mean HFC.

Shows how much you know about the NBN and yet you get on here arguing about it.

FN: "No, of course it's not a cable result, assuming you mean HFC."

And it is unlikely to be if the super NBN has its way in that no competition is allowed. However, in the possible event that the Coalition assume power in September they are not going follow the ridiculous course of shutting down the Optus HFC and preventing Telstra HFC from data/voice transmissions.

A State owned monopoly communication system protected from competition by law, that rings a bell!
