They can afford better accountants - like eBay lol - I think my fees are still going into a swiss bank account
see? the gift that keeps on giving!
A rich person has the ability to create more rich people, and the more rich people we have, the less people that need the assistance of welfare!
Looks like a win win situation to me...

.....and uneducated.
So we penalize people for good luck too, do we?
I think that's wrong.
I'm working towards ensuring my kids have a decent trust fund - why should they be penalized for that?
and nowhere have I said that all or any people on welfare are bludgers.
I can name 5 people off the top of my head whose education is substandard, but they still managed to amass a sizeable fortune.
how does a single mother who didn't even finish grade 10, but was worth $33 million dollars 2 years ago sound? She borrowed $100 to have the phone put on in her one room apartment when she embarked on her first business.

so rich people break the law, is that what you are saying?
Course not, just that they chose to employ really good accountants who know all the better ways of keeping their money out of the taxman's greedy little hands.
That's the difference in thinking between them that have the REAL money and them that don't.
Them that have it always find it far cheaper to pay big accountant fees that they'd otherwise be shelling out to the taxman.
A really good accountant will always save you far more in taxes than his fees will cost you, and the best part about it is that he does it all within the laws of the land.
And if all else fails there's always ways of shifting money into offshore bank accounts before you finally get caught, but if you're smart enough you get to leave the country to join your horded cash before ever getting caught ๐
Ya want the details of one or two good accountants, or a recommended offshore tax haven bank?

They wouldn't be if you set the trust fund up right in the first place Crikey.
Trust funds can be one of the best ever ways of avoiding weighty taxes etc.
Want some details? ๐

I actually think the bigger issue is that there are certain companies that take way more out of this country than they give. I think some of these companies need to pay more tax because they are stripping this country of its resources and in time to come there will be nothing to show from it because the gains are short term.
Whoever is in government needs to plan for the future instead of focusing on short term economic booms but having no plan for what happens further down the track.
This country isn't in trouble now compared to 20 years down the track if it doesn't start planning for its future.

We tax people on a scale according to their income everyone pays a certain percentage to ensure there is a future for this country and that's fair. It's not about rich verses poor or vice versa its about contributing and making our country a great country to live in.
I think as a nation we do recognize that at different times in people's lives they contribute differently for the good of the nation.

LNP - follow a system of meritocracy where effort and success are encouraged.
Do you mean an effort to take from the poor and give to the rich? Without Labor and good unions the minimum wage would be more like the USA.
