What have you contributed to the world?

Have you done anything, anything at all that's benefited humanity? Is the world a better place because of you?

Yes that's true in the bigger picture.

But I also believe in the smaller picture, namely

The Butterfly Efffect, and

The Golden Rule

both of which can have very big impacts, particularly the latter.

Well my family are glad I am here (though I must to remember to ask them why exactly).

I've never been in trouble with the law and in my years of employment my work was much appreciated.

I've provided a happy home for various stray and ex-shelter cats over the years.

Alternatively, I didn't have any children...which was a good thing as I'd have been a dreadful parent.

I've provided some amusement and (to my surprise) even some praise for my attempts at writing fan fiction.

I've probably made some eBay sellers happy with all the money I've spent buying stuff.

Those are not much of a contribution to the world I know.....but I haven't caused any major dramas on the planet either.
