In hell, you're not forced to love this particular God and praise and bow down to her and suck up to her for all eternity? And you won't be sent back to Earth to be tortured and killed to forgive her mistakes?
You'll be in the company of Rodney Dangerfield, John Lennon, Mother Teresa, Raefael Nadal, Angelina Jolie, Mark Twain, Brad PItt etc drinking and eating anything you like and partying like it's 1999.
Would you want to go to hell?

Hey Bob, a Bible/Religion/Hell thread? Who'da thunk it?
What did that Shakespeare bloke say: "methinks he protesteth too much" - or maybe it wasn't him, but, anyway someone said it.
I'll say what I have told you several times - hell is the grave - so we're all going there - and there is no fun there - all we'll all do is de-compose like Mozart.

But in answer to your question - yes, I probably would want to go to Hell if it is indeed static- I'm figuring that there will be more jobs for lawyers and accountants down there than in Heaven.
I don't agree because there would be so many lawyers, accountants, policemen, insurance salesmen/women, car sales people in hell you would have a better chance of getting a job in heaven. Only the good go to heaven (so it's said) so I will wait and see how many people I know get to meet me there LOL

yeah but this is one of Bob's hypotheticals.......what if?......what if this thing called "hell" was a good place? he described "heaven" contrary to what it is believed to be.....I try not to waste too much time on "what ifs"

but if only good people go to heaven - why would they need a lawyer etc? LOL The jobs would simply be redundant and obsolete LOL

I just wanna know what the criteria is to get out of pergatory/limbo? If ya end up there, are you stuck there forever?
If so - what's it like?

I don't believe the Catholic Church has taught about purgatory since I was a child. I may be wrong. I also don't believe there is any mention of pergatory in the Bible. Again I may be wrong.

My OH says purgatory is still taught in the Catholic Church.
No where in the Bible is purgatory mentioned.

Yes, it is still taught in the Catholic Church.
The word purgatory is not mentioned in the Bible but the concept, according Catholic teaching, is.
This is from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
III. THE FINAL PURIFICATION, OR PURGATORY
1030 All who die in God's grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.
1031 The Church gives the name Purgatory to this final purification of the elect, which is entirely different from the punishment of the damned. The Church formulated her doctrine of faith on Purgatory especially at the Councils of Florence and Trent. The tradition of the Church, by reference to certain texts of Scripture, speaks of a cleansing fire
As for certain lesser faults, we must believe that, before the Final Judgment, there is a purifying fire. He who is truth says that whoever utters blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will be pardoned neither in this age nor in the age to come. From this sentence we understand that certain offenses can be forgiven in this age, but certain others in the age to come.
1032 This teaching is also based on the practice of prayer for the dead, already mentioned in Sacred Scripture: "Therefore [Judas Maccabeus] made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin. From the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God. The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead:
Let us help and commemorate them. If Job's sons were purified by their father's sacrifice, why would we doubt that our offerings for the dead bring them some consolation? Let us not hesitate to help those who have died and to offer our prayers for them.

My Faith is based on the New Testament and Jesus Christ's Teachings / Ministry. Written word not what I concoct in my mind.
Can I ask what so special about Jesus' Teaching. His teaching has been taught for centuries in other places around the world. Even scholars consider Confucius has put those exact same teaching in more eloquent words centuries before. THere has been nothing that JC has taught that they didn't know already.
So by your own admission, you could've based your faith on the teaching of confucius or Janism or many hundred other faith.
