you still use on a regular basis. Home or work.Mine is a 1940's radio I use every day. The sound quality is superior, only problem is I can't get all stations.

ActuaIly, my old garden tools, worked better when I was younger.
But truly, the quality of the steel for spades, garden forks, was far superior and can be sharpened.
Remembered the old chest of drawers in the spare room here. I cleaned off 4 coats of paint (lead?) and the "antique finish" of the 70's to reveal beautiful cedar, now waxed and polished. I original drawer-pull missing but keeping an eye out for a real replacement.
Some great things people are looking after for the next generation of carers.

I just realized that I have something else really old that we use so much you don't even realize it's there iykwim
It's an old Silky Oak wooden table
Found it in a shed out at the farm when I got my first house.Apparently belonged to my fathers grandmother
dunno, no long term significance to me
but it has many memories now.
My kids grew up on that table, their homework, so many dinners etc
Over the years, they have carved initials into it, written on it - dunno sounds like they trashed it, but it just adds to the character.
It's in the homework room now, we have a different table, only use it for dining when we have a lot of people over and we cover iot with cloths etc then
Just talking to the OH about "doing it up" just now, so remembered it.
We have decided not to sand it back too much, to keep the character - a lot of memories happened around that table. All the imperfections are part of its charm/
Got two of the old wooden school desks too - complete with ink well hole LOL - for my kids the hole was perfect for their pot of Perkins Paste (That glue in the pink container)
