Is true equality attainable or in fact desirable?
on โ30-06-2013 05:53 PM
Is that equality?
That concept has been around for eons and it has had some success but to legislate it and police it would be impossible.

Now it's your turn - Who do you think don't deserve equal rights and why?
on โ30-06-2013 06:01 PM
People deserve what they can achieve through their own effort without being forced to share if the don't want to. Fortunately there are people who are prepared to share what they have strived for.
No where have I said who is not deserving.

But you not only called equality a "myth" but called those who wish to achieve it "losers". So obviously some people aren't deserving of it in your mind
on โ30-06-2013 06:08 PM
It is a myth and unattainable. The losers are the ones who expect and demand that they should be treated as equal without putting any effort into what they demand as their right.

Who - gay people, disabled people, older people looking for employment, women in careers? Who. Are you talking about individuals or select "groups" of people. Civil rights gay rights women's rights disabled rights etc etc have worked damn hard to be given equality. No one has simply been "given" a right. They all have met resistance and achieved milestones through personal convictions and strength.

Competitiveness is is one of the most basic instincts of animals and after all we are animals.
In the past if you did not compete for your food, shelter and mate you did not survive.
Now it appears that there are driving forces to suppress that basic instinct of survival.

Para you are the one who is pointing the finger at groups, you may have noticed that I have not mentioned any person or group of people. I refer to all people who are not prepared to put effort into what they demand and consider as their right.
I say we should all embrace our differences that is what makes us individuals instead of being a homogenous mass of unthinking sheepies.
