What is the worst addiction to kick?......
Last night I heard someone say sugar was harder to kick than a cocaine habit..today I heard a doctor say food addiction was the
hardest to overcome......
Nicotine, Heroin, Food, Coffee.....?

Tas, someday they will be priceless treasured heirlooms for your descendants and if they are prolific breeders you will need a fair few

Mobile phone addiction and texting.
I hate it. Nobody has an old fashioned conversation over coffee with a friend anymore.

I reckon I found it hardest to stop biting my nails.
I tried to quit smoking and went on that champix, it did nothing for the smokes, but one day I just had fingernails and I realized I hadn't had a coffee for ages - and I mainlined the coffee.... but nothing else I had ever done had helped me to stop biting my nails.
I'm back on the coffee a bit now, but still giot the nails and it's been nearly a year since the smokes have been gone with just those little mini nicorette tablets for a few weeks. I fell off the wagon a coupla times, but got back on it...
it just got to the stage where I was sick of coughing up a lung every time I went for a run, so it was almost easy, really, but it took me heaps of tries over the years

Well done Crikey, a good outcome ...

Crikey congratulations for achieving both goals.
I have been smoking for 55years, am not a heavy smoker, but find it extreemely hard to give it up.
I have tried champix. It gave me nightmares, heart palpitations and sleepless nights, Nicorette burns my mouth and makes me feel sick, besides giving me a stronger urge for a cigarette.
I am trying to cut down gradually. Am down to five smokes a day and will cut another one next week.

Having no luck breaking a soft drink addiction.
Ditto putting too much salt on food (especially fish and chips).
