What is worse?

Those that overstay their visa that fly in (majority)

or

Those that arrive by boat.......with the possibily of seeking asylum (unlikely) and sent back.

I generally keep up with what is going on and don't understand the governments fixation with boats when the numbers are the clear minority.

What is worse?

That is one way of looking at it, here are Labor preferences in his electorate:

LABOR

1. Jules Zanetti

2. Will Kitching, Greens

3. Tony Abbott, Liberal

4. Brodie Stewart, Palmer United Party

5. Mike Cottee, Stable Population Party

6. Ula Falanga, Christian Democratic Party (Fred Nile Group)

7. Mike Bloomfield, Rise Up Australia Party

What is worse?

I am looking at it in the spirit of political reality and what the voters would expect, no more, no less 🙂

if you prefer, I can say Liberal voters, or Abbott supporters who could vote directly for him.

in a way, the fact that such individuals are able to speak freely, is one of the reasons so many want to live here.

the right to free speech in a democracy.

by anyone, unless they are actually breaking the law with what they say.

extremists of any nature are a worry, but unless they do or say something which is illegal, they can carry on.

so does this really show that laws regarding free speech should be reviewed?

or candidacy rules?

that would in itself be criticised, by those who would see it as eroding the rights of the individual.

I do understand what you meant.

amber, there have been plenty of times over the years when the Libs have put Labor ahead of racist/fascist candidates.

What is worse?

We are talking Tony Abbott's electorate here. That makes a big difference in how that would be seen, and whether it would be expedient.

I mean specifically for those planning to vote for him directly. I hope it was not a decision made lightly, but I can see why they would have done it.

What is worse?

No morals would be the only reason, maybe morals don't matter too much to those that wanted to vote for him regardless, it would have put me off big time.

What is worse?

Well, it bothers me too.

I like to make up my own mind about my numbering anyway.

for situations like this, where I am not in agreement, or if I know a candidate personally.
