Earworms, we all have them. You know, that annoying song that plays over and over and over and over in your head. Usually one or 2 lines of a song. Sometimes they could last hours, sometimes, days, weeks and even months.
Often it's a song you like, but it simply won't let up. Other times, it's a song you hate, which makes it even worse! Sometimes they are so danged loud, they wake you up in the middle of the night.
So, what's that annoying earworm song that is currently playing in your head? How long has it been there?

“Old man” by Neil Young was an earworm for a while about a month ago.
The opening chorus from “Pearlfishers” has been one often.
An obscure song whose words I don’t know (African dialect of some sort?) that was on 2-sided 45” which I heard as a child… and all of my efforts to identify it have failed which is why that’s the most frustrating earworm I’ve ever had.

At the moment for me, it's "beauty school dropout", from when I watched Grease on TV a few weeks back. I don't even like the song, but it's driving me insane! I've tried listening to other songs, but it just keeps pushing its way back in.

Grrr….. I love this song, but it’s being in my head since 2 days and nights.
Might have to make it my next ‘sing-song’ 😉

I've 'heard' if you finish singing the song, right to the end, it will go away.
No guarantees on that though

I wish I hadn't looked at this thread. I too watched Grease a few weeks ago and Beauty School Dropout got stuck in my head for over two weeks. Now after reading this it's back. Oh no. 🙃
