I'm with joono - trifle

There was so much trifle left after Christmas dinner I was eating it for breakfast and lunch for about 2 days!

What is your favourite dessert?

In summer I love an asian fruit salad recipe..can't remember what it's called but it's realy easy to make and good for summer bbq's, feeds lots of people.  I haven't tried it with fresh aussie type fruit but might work.

You just choose whatever asian type tins of fruit you like from the asian grocer, mix a can of condensed milk with a can of evaporated milk, pour it over the fruit and wait until it's really nice and cold.....YUMMM!

What is your favourite dessert?

never met a dessert I didn't like

I met one just before Xmas: Lemon Tapioca. ;\

It was one of those restaurants with a set menu and I chose a chocolate something and ended up with the Lemon Tapioca. It was GROSS. I couldn't understand why everyone around me kept on eating theirs. Most disgusting thing I have ever tasted and I'll try ANYTHING, couldn't get past the first mouthful of that slop. It even looked gross, like a fish had laid eggs in it. YUCK.

What is your favourite dessert?

Definitely creme brulee.

Next would be creme caramel, or chocolate mousse.

Here's a great recipe someone gave me last week, it's addictive.  Tastes just like icecream but you can take it on a picnic.  You can substitute ricotta cheese for the mascarpone but the texture won't be as smooth, but will be cheaper and lower in fat.

WHITE CHOCOLATE DIPPING SAUCE

200g white chocolate
150mls cream
2tbs liqueur of choice (eg french vanilla kahlua, vanilla galliano, baileys) OR substitute 1 tsp vanilla essence
250gram tub mascarpone
Combine chocolate and cream in a small saucepan over a low heat, stirring until melted. Add liqueur (or vanilla), cool to room temperature.  Gently beat marscapone in a bowl and then fold in the chocolate mixture.

You can serve this with fruit and is also nice with cake.
