I do mean material ones, not things like family, friends, pets and health etc that are a given.
I've got a few atm
1) I have a very special pair of sunglasses - my first pair in over 20 years
2) My leather book satchel for uni - I just love it to death - LOL
3) My A5 leather notebook cover from the Tenterfield Saddler - gosh I love his stuff
4) My red Mickey Mouse watch with the moving hands - I just love it to bits and he still cracks me up as his hands move and it looks like he's dancing..
I'm sure I'll think of more - but I think these are my favourites,

I'd hate to be without my computer

So much!
Aside from the usual (photo's, computer), as a collectors there are so many things I treasure. Every object in my house has a story and a history.

yes, I guess I treasure my collection of Phantom Comic Books and other First editions - never thought about them before as being treasured though.
Also my new maxpedition backpack - well it's not so new now - had it a few months, but after I lost the last one and had to replace it - I sure do take a lot better care of it than the one before it.
Oh, and I guess my swag as well - it's old and battered and seen a lot better days, but it still does the job - I just don't have the heart to replace it LOL
another thing pretty special to me is a pressed pansy flower - it was just a friendly gesture picked from a pot plant outside a shop on the spur of the moment as we walked past - but it was a beautiful gesture from a friend which just showed they thought enough of me to do something nice for me iykwim.
little stuff like that - the gesture - the thought - means more to me than something worth a squillion dollars....

I understand what Cat is saying. When it looked like we had to evacuate and started getting ready incase the water rose any further, I had all my old photo's ready to go. Along with my degree's and Identification (birth cert, marriage cert, drivers lic etc...).
My youngest packed her barbie dolls and stuffed toys
My teen packed her ipod and favourite clothes and
The 23yr old was ready to pack his 3D large screen t.v into his car
So I'd say that's what each of us values... and yes its a given we would've taken the dog with us lol.
