I like any fish that hasn't got bones in it.
I buy the Pacific Dory (Basa) from our fish shop, they're nice chunky filets, crumb them and fry them in equal parts butter and oil on hot so they'e nice and crisp. A real cholesterol feast lol.
Serve with chips.

Baldchin Groper. There is nothing to touch it IMO.

Love Baldchin and Bluebone, especially freshly caught. Another favourite is sand whiting pan fried as soon as you walk off the beach.
Also loving Goldband snapper at the moment
We eat fish at least 3 times a week, love it.

I'm not big on fish, but I love our Friday night fish n chips night.
End of the week, we relax and put our feet up, eat our dinner, have a drumstick (ice-cream) for dessert, watch crime shows on the telly.
Bliss.

Ooh, forgot. Move over Gurnard, my fav is actually John Dory. Forgot about it because a) it is/was hideously expensive and b) not sure if it is available here in Oz?
Leatherjacket is also delicious.
I was very spoilt with fresh seafood as a young teen. I worked part-time after school in a fish and chip shop that also sold wet fish. I had the nicest boss in the whole world (still haven't worked for anyone as lovely) and he used to spoil us kids by filleting really fiddly fish like leatherjacket for us to try (we didn't like fish with bones in). Hence I developed a taste for really good quality fresh, fish. Shame it costs and arm and a leg now. 😞
