John Dory was my favourite fish when I lived in Sydney, Coral Trout when I was up in Queensland.
Fresh John Dory is not available here in WA, so Coral Trout wins the day here for me every time.

Actually, it would probably better if I provided you with a list of fish I didn't eat! :^O
I like pretty much all seafood, so it's lucky I live in a coastal city :^O

SA whiting (tastes nicer from further north up the west coast)

A housemate of mine was a really keen fisherman and used to go fishing off the rocks or in his little tinny. Every time he went out he would come back with something.. He often came home with 3 or 4 Snapper and once I came home to see a 14Kg Bluefin Tuna he had caught fishing off the rocks!

yes. i wish i was in adelaide or on yorke peninsula now, might even get some snook on the wonder wobbler at this time of year..
Years ago i remember a huge run of snook off the Cottesloe Groyne. A long line of anglers virtually shoulder to shoulder - lines getting tangled too wanting their bucket full. It didnt matter what lure you threw out it was a frenzied attack! - lasted for weeks. I had snook hangin' out of my ears, & they were good eating at first too but soon tired of them, went eslewhere and used them as bait]:)
greencat - lol
