Or passions? I love history. Don't care who's, just love it. My other is interacting with young ones. So fresh and open to all views.
Oh, and no politics thanks. I think we've all had a gutfull. 🙂

My passion is history, ancient history. (I should have become an Archaeologist. Would be in seventh heaven.) A lovely friend gave me a talking book and Hubby bought me some good headphones, so I can listen to the books.
I also love writing, but slowly going blind, so my darling hubby converted a TV to be my monitor, and at the moment I am writing my life story.
I am passionat about a lot of things and would love to be able to make the world a better place to live in.

Not area - but in your mind.
Quite lovely - I think.
Glad you are here.

she_ele, or anyone else for that matter, at first I thought you were talking about Oliver Cromwell - my mistake. Can you recommend any good books about OC? I confess to having virtually no knowledge of English history but my interest in him was piqued when we were there last year and I'd like to know more. Thanks.

Thank you, Helen.
When one has lived a very controversal life and comes to the conclusion that neither hate, anger nor fights achieve any more than hurting yourself, then the sensible thing is to mellow and enjoy the life one has left.
Nobody is perfect, nobody is infallible and nobody knows everything.

But Erica - you have gained such wisdom.
To be cherished - not squandered.
And nobody knows like you do.

Sorry Lurker, can't be much help. I actually don't know much about Oliver Cromwell - as you can imagine he was rather persona non grata at the convent.
I do have a book called Cavaliers And Roundhead: The English Civil War 1642-1649 so I'll have a look through the bibliography in that and see if there is anything useful.

Lurker, go Granny!
My passions have changed over the years.
I used to love cars. I loved old cars, fixing cars, going to car races,. And I loved Kombis
I loved reading. And doing arty stuff. Somewhere along the way I had a brainfart and now my attention span is short and my creative processes have gone kaput.
These days I'm passionate about this planet. I love it, it's amazing. I love being outdoors and just watching nature. I get a thrill out of seeing the little things that most people miss, the lizard hiding in the grass or the ants carrying off a dead insect. Animal tracks in the muddy driveway after rain, roos, emus, goannas and now koalas too.
