The New York City Police Department said a man driving a Range Rover with his wife and 2-year-old daughter inside Sunday struck a motorcyclist on Manhattan's West Side Highway, breaking his leg.
The SUV driver pulled over, and the bikers surrounded his vehicle, hitting it and spiking the tires, police said. The driver pulled away, hitting three more bikers in the process, police said.
Should the driver in the SUV be charged?
What do you think of bikers?
What would you have done if you were the driver in the SUV?

“I saw these a**holes in the city yesterday before the incident, Running red lights and causing traffic like they own the streets. Nothing but Thugs on bikes! I would’ve done the same,” said one.
Another spotted the same mob all over the city.
“These savages drove throughout Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and The Bronx yesterday. They were on sidewalks, they were going against traffic. They were looking for trouble and unfortunately for this man and his family, they were picked on.”
And not just yesterday:
During the warmer months, these gangs – comprised of hundreds of cycles – take over the West Side Highway (here) and the FDR. This has happened to me (and my family) twice. The cyclists harass the drivers, speeding up, slowing down to a crawl, weaving in and out, clogging traffic.
They surround the cars. Their intent is to intimidate, to harass and to cause an altercation. On one occasion, my wife and I were so frightened we pulled off and drove local. They were looking for a fight.

So a high profile lawyer is representing the main culpret biker. What self respecting lawyer would put themselves out there like that when there's no reasonable defense for it???? If there was no video, I can understand the driver of the SUV would have a bit of explaning to do, but why would the biker be so dumb to post that video on youtube is beyond me???

Because all sorts of people ride bikes including Lawyers, doctors, air line captains, company directors and even police.
and if this group was causing this much of a problem for such an extended period of time what were the police doing?
where are all the people that carry guns in the US on this day?

The driver did contact the Police to report the problem. Not sure what the response was.

What I find scary is when they were smashing his window in they were in a very public street surrounded by cars. There were no boundaries.
Yes, very scary. Especially when you have a small child on board.

I wonder if any of the 20-30 bikers assaulting and harassing the suv were .." Lawyers, doctors, air line captains, company
directors and even police.."(very much doubt that!) or just common thugs who thought they had the right to control who and how
someone could drive down a public road. There is no " high road" in this situation for the bikers. They just came off worse in a
fight they started.
