Whats in a name............CS?

well, community spirit seems inappropriate for this place *& its probably why everybody split*

(so was round table as history suggests that name was created to prevent quarrels)

imo, chinwag was the best name for a board thats not meant for ebay related topics (shoulda retained it)

if ebay was open to suggestions for a name change for this board, what would you change it to?

Every forum has a report feature for unsuitable, spam or abusive posters, the only difference is the moderators can actuality read English and go to the effort of doing so in a fair and informed manor before deleting or editing posts and issuing a warning.

You can't be serious? I have a big collection of moderations that do not meet that criteria.

Oh stop whining!

Community Spirit is a good name - we are a community and adding "spirit" to "community" reminds us of the attitude we are supposed to be bringing to the boards.

martini, maybe some may associate it with the demise of more 'popular' forums...it was never going to be replacement for CW or RT....crikey, you couldn't get a word in on either forum back then because they were so popular.

Maybe if they gave frequent visitors a bit of a say in naming their forum, they might feel more like there IS community spirit involved. = participation.  I don't really care, but I can see the other side of the coin from a historical perspective.

RT used to be fun before the paypal stuff and infighting ruined things, then the excessive button pushing got progressively worse

Re: Whats in a name............CS?

aha....you're talking DISCERNMENT....there's a word. Back then the Mods were Canadian and if we had a more similar humour to anyone else but them, it would be NZ.  There was a big difference = you could appeal punitive impositions on your CONSUMER account back then.  No doubt even redress is now a thing of the past just like discernment in moderation.
