well, community spirit seems inappropriate for this place *& its probably why everybody split*

(so was round table as history suggests that name was created to prevent quarrels)

imo, chinwag was the best name for a board thats not meant for ebay related topics (shoulda retained it)

if ebay was open to suggestions for a name change for this board, what would you change it to?

LOL Meep...I still remember Shane's thread on 'He Who Shall NOT be Named"...:^O....or...The Many Headed Hydra - or Bruiser...Just don't say the name or you'd get slapped silly by mods.  Very funny period on these boards. = even mods were spitting the dummy it got so feral.

the content is whats lacking, the name is unimportant.  ditching the hopeless moderation would be the best starting point ..along with the report button.

Lakeland, the report function has been used as a weapon since well before this forum replaced other much more frequented forums. 

At times, if you annoyed one faction or another, they'd literally mass report you.  That's when many switched to forum ID's because who'd put their real account at risk?.    At least the Mods were a bit more present back then.  I agree, having been around for quite some time, the content is getting boring because people are scared they'll be reported. 

We can't even post words that Aussies are notorious for - e.g. Don Chipp - If I want to quote him here I either risk a slap OR I say "Keeping the Barstools Honest".  Of course the original word is more Aussie, but you know.....can't really say it how it is on here.  It's now apparently culturally inappropriate to speak like an Aussie.  JMO

meep, i'd like to see it changed to chinwag, yes its a past name but, i havent seen or heard a better one in the ebay world
