Wheeler Fortune euthanased after fall at Oakbank Easter Racing carnival

I'm so relieved it was just a horse and not the rider.

so everyone there could carry on enjoying the festivities of watching horses do what they love. jumping to their deaths.

well thats what i heard one owner/trainer say....the horses love to jump, i've watched them galloping about in my paddock and jumping over obsticals just for the love of it.

ah hem! but those galloping horses jumping over things just for the love of it didnt have someone sitting on their back making them do it right?

kinda makes a difference doesnt it?

just because i might like to jump over hurdles doesnt mean id wanna do it with someone sitting on my back telling me too.

sport? i think its the gambling that gives it air.

remove gambling, horse racing, dog racing.....over overnight.

You sound like PETA,(their head honcho doesn't want anyone to have a companion animal and she wants

all animals to run free): http://www.peta.org/about-peta/

Animals were bred for certain purposes and there will always be accidents,(lets ban horse riding because the

horse might break it's leg in a hole or another accident and instead do what, release them all or kill them all

as they will have no other use in modern society?).

Accidents are an unfortunate part in the life of all animals and some sports increase that risk,(but there are

a lot more animals put down each year due to being abandoned by uncaring owners),Angry head bang.gif

Then remember the 3 million plus feral cats that are destroying the native wildlife by killing up to 1000 each

per year,(that's 3 billion plus native animals each year).

They were also abandoned and let go: http://www.smh.com.au/national/war-on-feral-cats-australia-aims-to-cull-2-million-20170214-gucp4o.ht...
