Last night on sixty minutes the guests (family and friends) kept on about how much he has changed since his uni days etc and quoted things that he thought and said 30 years ago.
BUT I can remember him very recently saying things that have upset women, gays, other politicians, his comments about Climate Change being carp weren't all that long ago.
So when did he change? How do you think he has changed?

sorry I even commented. no use with all the labour luvvies around here....can't get a balanced viewX-(...all I have to say is that old cliche
Time will Tell.
oh well at least its a labor luvvies thread instead of the usual liberal love-ins you lot have. There is never a balanced view on ANY political thread here be it liberal or labor, what makes you think we can start having one now! :^O

I think Malcolm Fraser was the closest of anyone describing him, 'he will do whatever it takes' to become leader.
Absolutely Donna.
I can't believe nobody caught the funniest line of the interview.. When they asked Tonys' Sister how she coped being "Outed as an Abbott" in her gay community. :^O
We were on the floor laughing...clever question.
I'm with various here who can't stand either leader. As far as I can tell, ALP are more like the left wing of the LNP these days..no difference between 'em....Both sides have been selling the farm since Whitlam days and even before that.
In fact only two PM's in the history of Australia have ever campaigned for Nationalisation of Mining and 'buying back the farm' (Fischer and Whitlam)......Both were undermined by the extreme right and that's how we find ourselves paying thru the nose for electricity and infrastructure when we're coal & mineral rich.
