I have asked this question of several posters over the last few weeks and none of them has ever answered me, so I'll throw it open to everyone.
For reports on current affairs, which media outlet or personality do you trust to give you facts and intelligent comments as opposed to opinions and propaganda?

Daydream, I like the Project too. It's not as staid and serious as the ABC / SBS but it's usually a good discussion on stories. Does that make me lowbrow? Meh.

I went to school with bloke who became a news researcher. He worked for SBS for many years and now works for the ABC.
I get to see his personal feeds from facebook... some of the news he uncovers, researches and verifies does not make the ABC bulletins.
I also like Al jazeera and PBS
The advent of the internet allows active readers to form their own opinions from a wide range of stimulus... what a great thing
