Heres a clue- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LClXj3XGuRM . . . . . . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdgIxJNlG_Y
Tasca instinctively did what any legitimate peace officer should do: She intervened to protect the victim, pulling Rella off the helpless and battered young man. Tasca’s act was one of instinctive decency, genuine principle, and no small amount of courage. It was also the action dictated by her department’s use-of-force policy, the first page of which specifies that it is “the responsibility of law enforcement to take steps possible to prevent or stop the illegal or inappropriate use of force by other officers.”
In his report on the case, Judge Donohue acknowledged that Tasca acted in compliance with the use-of-force policy – but he dismissed that fact on the preposterous grounds that “no evidence was presented to establish that Officer Tasca even knew about the document.”
The judge dismissed the fact that Tasca acted according to the law because there was no proof that she knew the law? This judge is the so-called independent expert that the Bogota mayor and his cohorts hired. He’s now retired. I wonder when that happened. The New Jersey article provides this quote about the judge from the mayor:
“She had the hearing. He turned around and said she should be fired. We did the right thing by her I think. We did what we were supposed to do. It certainly wasn’t political.”
Earlier in the same month, Tasca had prompted criticism for failing to rush to the aid of her partner, Officer Jay Fowler, during a brief confrontation with a tiny, drunken woman at a hospital. The woman, who was not a criminal suspect, was taken to the hospital for medical attention. She decided to leave, and when Fowler – who had already surrendered custody to the hospital – tried to stop her, the young woman “flailed” her arms, inflicting a small scratch on one of Fowler’s hands that tore open an old scab.
As a result of this “altercation” with a woman whom he outweighed by about 100 pounds, Fowler spent a week on paid medical leave, according to Donohue’s report.
“Nobody had said anything to me about the earlier case until after the incident with the Ridgefield officers,” Tasca pointed out to me. Her refusal to gang-tackle a tiny, confused woman in a hospital, coupled with her active intervention to stop a criminal assault on an unarmed, mentally unbalanced man who was not a criminal suspect, supposedly established a “pattern” of behavior that made Tasca a danger to her fellow officers.
The “good old boy” cop suffers a scratch on his hand and gets a week off with pay, while Tasca gets fired and worse. This is what happens when good officers don’t go along:

Sometimes when i'm being beaten or stomped down on the ground, I see other cops off to the side who seem like they aren't having any fun, but never dare to put a stop to it, maybe they blurt out something like "did you have to do that" or they notice that i'm not resisting.
After ripping off all my clothing and throwing me into a holding cell, couple hours go by and a guard would bring me a blanket, five more minutes would pass and another guard would come along and take the blanket away giving me nothing to cover with. If you can imagine being completly nude in a 8x8 foot cement box with a steel bench and a steel toilet for days. thats enough of that, back to the topic at hand,
I don't just want to find a way to get this lady her job back, I want to find more like her and start public demand that they be hired all over, espesally in areas near me. I've needed a cop like her more times than I can count to pull those goons from the franklin county sheriffs department off of me. I wouldn't expect someone just off the street to do it, they would go to prison for life. I don't have any video of what they did to me, but if you watch the Kelly Thomas video, that comes close to what happened in 2008 after they had me follow them to their car out by the road. They didn't even arrest me then, not offically into jail, what they did to cover for the beating was take me to a state run place called netcare and pinkslip me in there for a week saying I did all of that to myself. But hey it's the police, who's gonna argue with them? I must have did it to myself. "not such a tough guy now am I" thats what the one in charge said. I hear that still sometimes.
This sounds dreadful and I am sorry you had to go through this, I really am.
I have just never seen it first hand and I am unsure if anyone here in Oz has seen it ? to this extent....?
But yes, I still say there a good cops left, I am the mother of two of them.

I love watching the Cops Program, they always speak nicely to their prisoners and tell them to mind their head when they put them in the police car. 🙂

I made some efforts, but the sheriffs have managed to destroy any credibility I might have once had. Many take their reports and files on me as fact, I have an arrest record with no convictions that I suspect is preventing me from getting into an apartment. Back to my efforts, I eather get turned away, or bounced back and forth between floors in a courthouse until someone calls in the guards, who are basically the same sheriffs, to throw me out.
At first, I thought after losing my home and being in this new place, i might have a chance, I have to admit that police here 100 miles away from franklin county havent been quite as bad, yet, They still took my bicycle, ran me out of a resturaunt and the homeless shelter after 10 days of what was supposed to be a 30 day stay. the sheriffs up there had to contact the ones down here, it's the only explination, i even tried to take out a protection order in the cort down here, it was offically denied by a judge who just like the police, works for the state. It's not like I can call the police on the police.
Almost a year ago, it looked like someone was about to take my purse from my cart at Walmart, when i turned my attention away for a moment.. I knew if they did,, that I'd have to let them take it, knowing that if I took it back I'd be arrested. Thats a day in my life, I can't afford to get on anyone's bad side no matter who they are. A phone call and a lie and i'm gone.

Are you unemployed and/or homeless joanie?
Do you not have shelters or support groups over there ?

If there are any "good" cops, they are closing their eyes to the others, which makes them no better.

I'm not quite sure how you have managed to get yourself in the mess you seem to find yourself in, but your experience with police seems fairly unique and is not the experience most people would have with police - in the US and certainly not in Australia.
Police deserve the utmost respect and support for having to do the job that they do to keep the rest of us safe.
A couple of bad eggs or a rotten individual experince does not make every policeman corrupt.

Yes, I guess so, if you don't count a leaky old camper with no running water with a cord ran to my dad's garage for electric. I get food asstence, but have no kitchen to cook the food, I lost all my pots, pans, plates, ect when I lost my home, they took it all. My dad made a small effort to get some of my things,, but brought back my sister's family's trash instead.
I'm at a nearby library now, for heat and a better internet signal. When they close probibly at 6pm, it's back to the camper, because of the range from my dad's internet, I may or may not be able to post here, when it does work, it's slow so my posting may vary at times.
It's been like this for just over a year now, worst part is not being able to shower. I have applications at 3 diffrent apartment complexes that are income based. Meaning I guess that if I have no money, they charge no money. One did a background check and due to my arrest record, took me off the list. I had to proove there were no convictions before I could get back on the list, so it's gonna be that much longer of a wait there, I wish they didn't wait 5 or 7 months to bring it up. If I do get into a place, I have to keep my family, dad included, and the police from finding me there. They would get me thrown out.
Yeah, theres a homeless shelter in Portsmouth, they let you stay there for 30 days out of the year, on weekends you can stay all day long, weekdays, you have to get up before 9am, do some chores, and be out at 9am, come back at 5pm to catch a shower and sleep. I was there 10 days before the police found me there and then I had to leave.
Theres a support group where I used to live, it's over 100 miles away to the north. They meet first tuesday of every month, goes from 7:30pm to around 11pm. The police in that area have harrassed me for being out at night and accused me of breaking into a matress store because I was in the parking lot, in a friend's car talking to her after the meeting when their alarm went off.
So I do have some things in the works, if or not they pan out, i won't know for a time, if they don't pan out, I'm considering Texas.

Some of your posts are a little confliting with info and claims and I just wondered if most of it was a wind up, that's why I asked.
Above for instance ? Your dad lets you run power from his shed, but if you get a place of your own he would get you kicked out?
You see my dilemma ??
