Where to buy a good wig?

Unfortunately I've suffered the most hideous of haircut so I've decided to buy a wig to wear until my appalling haircut grows out into something that doesn't resemble a weird spiked pixie cut. (Even my dearest friend stood staring with her mouth open at the monstrosity on my head).

There seems to be an enormous range of wigs available online, but I've already come across a couple of dodgy websites (pretending to be in Australia but they are actually based in china).  I've read literally hundreds of complaints about one particular site, where the picture is of a beautiful flowing wig and they receive something that looks like sewn together animal hair!  I've bought a couple of cheapie wigs via ebay just for normal day to day, but would like a nice one to wear out.

Would love to hear from anyone who has successfully purchased a good realistic wig from a reputable company.  I'm probably looking for the lace front monotop synthetics as their retain their style after washing, and the human hair wigs are a bit out of my price range.

Thanks!  ๐Ÿ™‚

It can't be that bad.  A spiked pixie cut sounds quite nice.  Sorry I can't think of where to get the wig but what about at a hairdressers.  I think Price Attack sells wigs.

Where to buy a good wig?

I sympathise ... I had this awful cut and blow dry a long while back.  I went back to work after the cut and the receptionist just gave me this look of deep sympathy.  The clients that were waiting to see me didn't even recognise me ... I fled to the bathroom and soaked my hair and combed the style out.

If that happened to me again, I would go bald/shaved, or nearly bald.  I've always wanted to try that ...

However, I suggest you check out sites for women with cancer they have some great links for wigs.

j*oono I don't have any shops around here that sell wigs unfortunately as I'm in a small regional area, so need to find something online.

Trust me it's bad, the style might look ok on another lady but not on me.  It's really dreadful.  I went to the supermarket today and saw a few people whilst in the checkout line raise their eyebrows at my hair, one lady just sort of smiled in a sad way at me and I said yes I know, I think I'll buy a hat!

Oh dear, did you go to a hairdresser you hadn't been to be for that cut? I hope you told them you weren't satisfied with the haircut.

Reading your last post, wearing a hat might be a cheaper and quicker option. In a couple of weeks it may have grown enough for another hairdresser to give you a decent haircut.

Indonesia have well made and cost effective wigs.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
