Who Even Uses Egg Cups Nowadays?

Remember when ppl used to have a soft-boiled perched in an egg cup, on a saucer? Maybe a cpl slices of buttered toast on the side?

Tap the egg with your knife and cut the top off it and spoon the soft yolk out. Sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper?

Who does that these days?

Nobody.

I eat scrambled , poached and fried.

The closest I came to soft boiled eggs was when I stuffed up the devilled eggs for our last bbq.

They are are real hit and making a comeback 

Ended up mushing them up for curried egg and lettuce sandwiches, also very yum.

I haven't used an egg cup since the kids were small.

This is a great little piece of German precision.

It was sent to us by the ex's cousin that lives in German some years ago.

You place the dome over the egg and you pull the silver ball up to the top of the handle and then drop it.  It Cracks the shell perfectly all around and it pops straight off.

Cool! The egg cracker, I mean. There's another gadget for cracking hardboiled eggs as well isn't there? like a serrated pincer?

I use egg cups all the time.

How else are you supposed to eat a boiled egg??

What about when:

Someone used to eat their soft boiled egg and when back

turned another someone turned shell up the other way and said

they haven't  finished yet !!

and soldiers well that brings back memories!
