To no one in particular ..... christianity? What on earth is that in reality?
I have seen (and experienced) some so called christians who do the most appalling, cruel, spiteful and horrendous things, strangely enough, not only to others, but to each other, and then have the nerve to actually still call themselves 'christians'.
As a result of that, as long as I live, I would never go near a church.
We have many friends who are 'christians', but they know and accept that in this house, religious conversation is not welcome, so they respect that, as we respect their silence on the matter, and we all remain friends ....
In my opinion, that's how it should be unless the subject is invited.
I am of the belief that there may be a "creator", the alpha and omega of the universe, it's just too much to be a coincidence, but then again, maybe that's wishful thinking .....

Here's one to get the dinner party started with your friends. Ask them " Do you think based on your beliefs, that I deserve to go to hell?"

Our friends don't start conversations like that in our house, religion (any religion) is not discussed ....
Makes for great dinner parties and successful friendships xx

Do you even know what the teachings of Jesus Christ?
Probably not in every detail.
You have to realise, not everything Jesus did or Taught are moral.
Maybe so. But that's what you asked for. The definition of "Christians"
Some of the stuft he said are pretty sick.

“Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace on earth! No, rather a sword lf you love your father, mother, sister, brother, more than me, you are not worthy of being mine." Matthew 10:34
THere're bits where Jesus advocates murder, death, child abuse, and animal cruelty. But they left that out in Sunday school
Oops I've taken it out of context. THose are only OK in Jesus' time and culture.

Do you have a sign like this?

I think the person of Jesus was a very nice (and radical) man who wanted to 'change the world' as he knew it and make a difference.
He was most likely very skilled in the healing and lecture circuit arts, charasmatic and therefore easy to follow in terms of most of his teachings.
Whether or not he performed 'miracles' such as walking on water, or changing water into wine, rising up from the dead (?) etc is all up to the interpreters of the authors over the centuries. Then again, the human condition in many cases, not all, desperately desires such man made history to be true. Perhaps that is what some people need to get through their lives.
