I actually met someone with a science degree today who doesn't believe in evolution and KNOWS that all humans came from Adam and Eve.:O
"Why are there still monkeys today if humans evolved from monkeys?" is a common belief amongst creationists. Who here doesn't know the answer to this?
Who here doesn't think that evolution is the best explanation for all the different living species on Earth today?

If you want to understand what evolutionists believe and why they believe needy you need to do a bit of reading. The evidence on which we base our belief is not something that can be explained in one paragraph.
Darwin's On The Origin Of Species, and Dawkins's The Greatest Show On Earth are a good place to start. At least then you will have a better idea of exactly what it is you are trying to disprove.

Thanks you ele, I was trying to avoid reading too much - I'll wait until the movie comes out. Actually I have watched quite a few documentaries about the subject, and that's where I have heard the things that I quoted above about fish growing legs to avoid predators and so on.
Bob wrote:"This is abiogenesis not evolution."
If that's the case, I have already said that I believe it probable that species have changed over the period since creation - adapted to their specific environment. I DO NOT believe in spontaneous life starting from nothing without some form of guidance.

There you go Bob ... I asked some perfectly valid questions but you still had to be sarcastic - you can't help yourself can you?.

So you don't believe God created all the animals and all different species on the 6th day???
Do you believe the bible is the literal truth???
You're invoking the God of the gaps argument. If we don't know, God did it.

You are correct, I don't believe all the different species were created on the 6th day.

I assume you are referring to the Creative Days - I have already told you this several times Bob. Even in this thread I refer to the Creative days as possibly millions or billions of years long.
Bob also wrote:"You're invoking the God of the gaps argument. If we don't know, God did it."
I am invoking nothing Bob.

I just watched an old movie on TV - "1 million years BC" - we haven't changed much in the last 1,002,000 years - I think Raquel Welch looked almost human.
