IT'S been described as "confusing" and "possibly illegal" but Ja'mie of Summer Heights High fame has gone ahead and done her first men's mag shoot.
The Private School Girl star has posed in a "world exclusive" for Zoo, raunching it up in her uniform and long socks.
Chris Lilley, the man behind the character says he was shocked at how good the final shots were.
"I didn't know how it would look to be honest," he told news.com.au, "but when I went over and looked at the test shots, I was like 'that is insane'.
"I got a really good reaction from all the staff at the mens mag too - they were really into it, they could not stop laughing."
Without wanting to appear like too much of a professional glamour model, Lilley said he - sorry Ja'mie - nailed the shot in just five minutes and there was very little touching up done to the pictures, with just a bit of armhair being airbrushed out.
"I basically just slipped into the tight-fitting uniform got pre-wet and then sprayed down and oiled up, there was a bit of leg shaving and make-up work before, but I just had to commit to being hot.
"I somehow knew what poses to do and because Ja'mie believes she's hot, it's easy to fall into the illusion of it.
"It must have been all that time practicing her selfies", he said

We enjoyed it in this house, it's satire and I think Chris Lilley does it well. I think his portrayal is quite close to the bone in many aspects and is probably a bit closer to reality that what we would like to think.

I actually think he is a very good actor... he plays the parts well and people like him... I just can't stand that type of acting.

It's one of today's 'entertainment' choices.....I admire the talent but loathe the character!!
I did not feel compelled to turn the TV on to watch so no comment from me.

I dislike Dame Edna character, Danny La Rue (yes I am that old LOL) and others. I think Danny La Rue was the first one I saw and I can remember asking my mother why is that man dressed as a woman so blame him for my dislike of all men dressing as women to entertain.
I have no problem with tranies, but man dressing as woman to send up women I do have a problem with. I think that middleaged man sending up adolescent girls is the part that gives me creeps.
I also have a problem with the character of Ja'mie; he tried to roll into one person all that is unpleasant about girls in that age. But I do not think it works; for instance I cannot see a talented girl, who is aspiring to be the dux of her school, to be also a bully. She might be (or might not) stuck up, but she would be hard working and confident. Bullies are mostly kids who feel inferior and try to belittle others.
I also find offensive the idea that wanting to do well at school is somehow undesirable. Would somebody like Ja'mie be select to be prefect?

I found your comments very interesting Super.
It may have been satire but it was too full on and venomous in so many ways.
With Heroes he hit the right note....gentle and kind, but so funny.

Yes I thought that as well. It was funny, but mean.

Yep, that's what I'm not a fan of. In many ways it's just an attack on teenaged girls. Just an excuse to send them up, belittle them, mock and humiliate them by a creepy man old enough to be their father... Yuck, el cretinilley!

what kind of men buy mags to view pics of teenage girls??? (and yes we all know that he is not a teenage girl)
If the story is true and Zoo mag did do this then it says a whole lot about mag dosen't it?
And if more men try to hit on your teenage daughters don't complain if you think this is ok...
Well that's a fair enough comment, Cat, but I'd be more concerned about the way schoolyard bullying is satirised in the show, if anything.
With regard to men hitting on teenage girls, I think the way some young women behave when they're drunk and the style of clothes they wear would have a large bearing on that as well.
No, girls are not to blame when men hit on them.
Girls should be able to drink and wear what they want without getting blamed when someone hits on them.
Why is the responsibility always put onto the girls?

I do not like to 'blame" anybody, but everybody has to accept some responsibility for their actions and in this case the signals they send out to other people. If half naked girl is acting seductively I would imagine most men would assume she wants to be seduced.
also, young girls (and boys) should not be binge drinking for many other reasons. There is a plenty of evidence that drinking has a bad affect on their health, drunk they are more likely to have sex, they are less likely to protect themselves if they do, they may end up with VD, if they end up pregnant there is an increased risk of brain damage to the baby - especially if they do not realise they are pregnant and continue to drink.
