I respect the opinions of those who allow others to have an opinion, without being sarcastic, caustic, etc.....without assuming only their opinion is the correct one.

Which logic? The logic regarding the use of an apostrophe to signal ownership or the omission of letters in a contraction? They teach it to 7 and 8 year olds. Surely it's not THAT difficult to get it right.
