Paul Keating had such a way with words. Also tends to call a spade a spade which I like.
I don't think ANY of the current crop of pollies, both sides are anywhere near the orators of the past, Hawke, Howard was good, Keating of course. None were as vitriolic as people like Keating who could really spew acid when he wanted.

This is probably why voters want Abbott gone....he has had plenty of time to show that he is a worthy PM. Which he is not.......but Abbott has absolutely carp communication skills-he has to have women engaged to his support groupies, surrounded by them in fact! His wife, Peta Credlin, Michaelia Cash, Julie Bishop, Susan Ley.....not trying to say the few capable men in Parliament are not as good communicators as these women though-another debate! LOL

I agree. I do think women bring a "less abrasive" approach to Politics and I think in most situations
taking the tetosterone out of situations means more gets done

To be fair, few men and women have the attributes to successfully lead.
I don't gamble....save the odd lotto if I'm determined to do without a packet of frozen peas and justify throwing my money away.....which I do rarely but it is liberating to throw a small amount of money away sometimes! I have my standards though and would not throw any amount of money away on gambling on politicians movements!!
The LNP policies would be same no matter who is PM. Their policies have been damaging to Australia/Australians present and future economics and environment.
I hope they all get kicked out sooner than next election.

Women can multi-task better but men are practical.
Abbott is just a waste of space and time imo. He has nothing that any of us need or can benefit from. Change of leadership now will be damaging no matter which you look at it but they want to survive and with Abbott they will not!
I'm just going to enjoy watching the antics played out.

I'll disagree with you in that I think the LNP are better managers of money and the economy, the exception being avoiding the GFC recession.
I think that Labor is too left wing orientated, not so much the workers but the welfare side, throw huge amounts of money at it, not all of it justified IMHO.
Same with the environment, greens have far too much say in hindering things.
Abbott is to the right of right and has probably gone too far,
not withstanding that some of the ivory towers built (with Gov't money) by the left needed pulling down.

What does it matter ?
They all get enough of my money as it is, no matter the governing party!
You can't please all the people all the time, so now I just please myself

Honestly! We do not need any politicians to run this country. We need efficient and well versed Administrators with regular Referendum input by the people. Sane and efficient imo.
Get rid of present system is what is required.

No way.
Refs don't work, you would never be able to get consensus.
Better to have parties that want to do it and they outline policies and we vote for them.
Then we can vote them out when we don't like them.
