Ms York said the Marriage Alliance wanted to find out what impacts legalising same sex marriage would have.
“We so have to find out what ramifications there will be. What will be the effects, there'll be so little discussion about this,” she said at the launch last Sunday.
The group said it had contacted Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull to make them aware of the decision.
"Has political correctness or the power of a certain lobby group reached so far down that it now erodes the once proud Australian 'fair-go' character that it is preventing ordinary Australians from having a voice?” Ms York said.

Runs the Lane Cove branch of thre Liberal Party and ran for preselection in Bradfield.
So?
Could be regarded as political advertising.
Yet not a word about politics.
Well obviously if she is currently a registered Liberal party member then any advertisment she wants to put up is going to go through a more stringent process through the ASB and the other advertising group whos name I can't recall at the moment
Not a word about politics?? One of the most hotly debated political topics atm is not about politics??
Either way, that ad would not make it past Section 2.1 of the AANA Code of Ethics as the intention is clearly discriminatory.
No matter how clever her ad agency thinks they are being in trying to get this ad through, the TV stations aren't going to touch it cause they know the various regulating bodies would call them in for breaching obligations.

It's not. It's denying those against to even have a voice.
So you admit the ads are not about discussion but a tool for "those against".
Fair enough if the Marriage Alliance actually DID discuss the issue. And all her media, including her bit on the Ray Hadley show, is apparently all about "upfront and honsest discussion" and "providing a place for people to provide their opinions" but there is NOWHERE to voice that opinion.
So by all means join her organisation if you agree with her nonsense motherhood statements about "only a mother has a natural bond" with a baby or implying that only in heterosexual couples can we "recognise the value of marriage" and more of the same garbage. But let's not pretend that the ad is anything other than what it is - an anti same sex campaign.

One of the big arguments the anti-gay marriage advocates espouse is that "God intended marriage as a means of procreation", conveniently forgetting infertile heterosexual couples, and those who choose not to have children. Suddenly the warnings are that "these people will be same-sex parents", like the children will be "indoctrinated" in the homosexual lifestyle.
It strikes me that if these individuals were the products of a "heterosexual lifestyle" and still turned out gay, the likelihood is that their offspring (whether natural or adopted) are more likely to be hetero............

Baybizz, they're saying it's not a for or against, but a discussion about the rights gained and lost for either side.
