Obviously the money has got to come from somewhere. Where do you want to take it from???

How long did you keep that up for Bob?
How much has the price of food gone up since 'a few years' ago.
Did you go around to a parents house and eat any meals there?

They only get a pittance as it is, take $47 off that.... I see people going hungry.
A good portion of under 25's still live at home. Their parents pay for them.
In your world no parent(s) are unemployed, disabled and or on low incomes?
Since when is a "good portion" all? Or are you completely unaware how many just view the dole as easy money?

Is your credit card maxed out and you can only pay the minimum monthly payment?

As did most people in that decade poddster. However, times change, it is 2014 now.
When my brothers & sister left high school you walked out the door and got a job where ever, if you didn't like it you quit and went down the street and got another one. Changed by the time I left school (less jobs), even that was decades ago.
Those days are long over.

Just 1 week. I ate pretty healthy for that week and no starving at all.
I kept a diary. Now it's probably $30 equivalent I'm guessing.
Only counted once going to mum and dads.

So, those on the dole should only work where they want to?

If, through its atrocious actions, a state destroys the lives and rights of its citizens, it temporarily forfeits its claims to legitimacy and sovereignty.[21]

It's time for our GG to use his reserve powers imo .
