Obviously the money has got to come from somewhere. Where do you want to take it from???

and yes I agree, our debt is low
Okay, just putting it out there, compared to whose? Are they worth imitatating? (comparitively population-wise)
Those who succeed in life see what can I do. Those who don't see It's all too hard.
Compared to our GDP. And that's the only figure that matters.
Whilst our economy is churning over at a healthy rate then the debt can be kept in check. That's why we have world economists praising us. It has nothing to do with debt.
Its a bit like comparing one persons debt to another persons debt who both have different circumstances.
Person x may have a $900,000 debt (mortgage) but they can carry it because their buying, spending, earning activities are circular and supportive.
Person y may have a $10,000 debt but but because of a whole lot of other problems, they can't support that (much smaller) debt.
Assume x is Australia. Our GDP is increasing because our economy is healthy. People are consuming. Unemployment is stable. Industry is OK. As our GDP increases so does our debt. If our GDP decreased, then hopefully so would our debt.
Assume y is Greece. Plunging GDP and the economy is in freefall because of bad decisions made before/during the GFC. A relatively smaller debt is enough to send them under because their GDP is so low.

I'm angry at Abbott and Hockey and their cronies because (as others have already posted) they think that addressing expenditure by SLASHING our money to be spent-and depositing it with Doosh Bank for interest (God knows how many politicians and their Fat Cat mates are going to have their paws in the pots on this little lark...)......and then NOT addressing revenue and not setting about creating jobs so we can make money is how to do a budget.
...and they wonder why they are getting all the blame? ....Give me a kit-kat someone please.
who do we know who has connections in here?.......
