Why is Tony Abbott calling Japan our best friend? Because he thinks that when talking to foreigners you need to use childish language & shout. After all, they have funny accents so they cannot be as smart as us.

Maybe he's hoping to sell Australia to the highest bidder, so he's finding friends, I don't think he has many friends left in Aus.

It's reported he also said the time has come for Japan to be a "normal country". Whatever that means, it seems rather contrary to the best friend claim.

Oh he keeps insulting everybody left, right & centre. How patronising of him to say something like that to Japan! I expected him to be an embarrassment but he already exceeded all my expectations. No wonder he does not want foreign journalists around, they might actually report all his gaffes.
