Why do we call the rain god Huey?
There is thunder rumbling around and big dark rain clouds and I was muttering, "send her down Huey" which is something my Mum (and her mum) used to say.
But why do we say it? Why or Who is Huey?

When hubby is sent out to get some apples he just has to read the sticker and does not take bananas or oranges home ๐
I always thought poddster was male..oops
He's either having a mid-life crisis or channeling his alter ego.

ROFL - nope
I was trying to work out who's on fourth (or how he could be if he was already on first, so I googled the script - that comes straight from there after discussing tomorrow on the infield

red headed Irish were called blue in reference to their being of quick temper when they were drunk as they did not need much to incite them into a Blue.
I vaguely also remember from early school days about red headed tribes that painted themselves blue and were very aggressive.
A Canadian friend (from Nova Scotia...lots of Scottish red heads)_told me that Bluey goes way back in Canada..
The fair skinned red heads tended to get a blue tinge to their skins in extremely cold weather.
