Why is it such a big deal that Frances Abbott enjoys a smoke?

Why should the public be outraged? Leave the girl alone, it's not her fault her father does and says things in public that are not very wise.

The 2 daughters that live in Australia did go on the campaign trail with their father. That would have made them more recognisable now to a lot of people.

If they want the quiet life, minding their own business, maybe they shouldn't have done that.

My BIL used to reckonJoking of course) that he was sprinkling asbestos on his cornflakesevery morning so he wouldn't live to be as old and cranky as his old man - maybe Frances Abbott is working on the same principle.

Lauren Bacall had a smouldering look...nothing to do with whether she was holding a ciggie or not 🙂

but

anyone can smoke in areas where it is still legal to smoke, it is not a good health move, but their call.

there are far more damaging things she could have been doing, in terms of photos designed to cause embarassment.

Well, she IS a "woman of calibre" isn't she? 

As one, she ought to set a decent example for the rest of us who are beneath her in status, income, wealth and privilege.
