Oh so THIS is what all those pesky refugees are complaining about.
This picture shows the aftermath of an attack at a Shia Muslim rally at Meezan Chowk in Quetta on September 3 2011 that killed 42 and injured 80 people - mostly Hazaras.
Above them is an Australian-sponsored billboard saying "Don't go on a leaky boat - the illegal way. Just stay where you are".
Just stay where you are. Walk the streets of Quetta or Kandahar and just wait to be blown to high heaven. Just stay where you are.

I heard a report on the news yesterday. Don't ask me what channel or who reported it as I was kinda passing the telly and heard the figures.
Apparently there are an average of 43 - 45 million refugees around the world and 0.3 % of this 43 - 45 million are attempting to come to Australia by boat.
Puts things in perspective a little.

I doubt we are the third biggest nation for refugees in the world.

Compassion does not excuse the Border failure Labor has enacted on Australia.
Compassion is cruely inviting people to pay up to $15.000 to a criminal to get here by-passing all legal channels.
45 million is the UNHCR estimate of people on the move & they would all like to come here & get free housing & welfare if they want it, this is unimaginable wealth for most of these people.
We have to have a secure border policy, we have to maintain our sovereignty & not be overrun by whoever wants to come here under their rules & disregarding the laws of our country.
We have over 30,000 people in this country on bridging visas, half in the community who are forbidden to work & the rest in camps. This is a disaster of massive proportions.
This whole thing, the whole collapse of our borders is Labor's doing, Labor under Rudd did this. It's not a compassionate policy it's a policy tailor made for criminals & deaths at sea, a policy to install a permanent underclass filled with resentment & rage, a policy that will see Labor in the wilderness for years & they deserve to be there.

What are the acutal figures? Where is Australia ranked when it comes to refugee resettlement ? Last time I looked we ranked 3rd after the US and Canada. How does our Humanitarian Program work? Who makes the decisions and how? How would you change it?
No way is that true.
We are way down the list.
I understand Pakistan is actually at the top of the list in terms of refugee resettlement.

the information i posted was from the 2012 UNHCR report. I believe we have increased the intake by 40% ?? which puts Australia where we are now.

I predict that the future will judge us on our current response to the refugee situation just like we now look at the white Australia policy.
