Being single does not necessarily mean that you are alone.

Quite the contrary.

Single people usually have many friends, including long term close friends.....reliable friends

Maybe this is because they have he freedom and time to keep these friendships going.......  Just a thought..

These friends are usually of a similar mind.

A similar situation exists with those with children. A natural common bond.....they tend to make friends through their children's activities, plus, of course,  they have their long term friends.

I think people who choose to be single (for whatever reasons) can and do have a very fulfulling life.

Its a bit telling that I can be gone for over two years and the same old faction wars are still happening.

Being in a relationship is challenging - life is challenging - but I really don't think I'd want it any other way. Its been a huge learning curve for me - in a very positive way.
