Why is it more socially acceptable for a woman to abuse a man than it is for a man to abuse a woman.
Do you think there's a double standard that men get called misogynists when women can be just as guilty of misandry?
Even if we're not talking about physical abuse, what about the psychological abuse women can place on men? Women are good at working out what makes men tick and yet they continue to push the buttons. Is society the problem?

You can clearly see people laughing when a man gets abused.

Changing the gender in the joke makes no difference. Violence is not OK, whoever commits it.
Would you tell the same joke (or any other) if the victim was a child? A joke about child abuse?
If you dont know the poster, maybe you should not comment..........she had a murder in her family.
I my self went to hell and back with domestic abuse............yet like Sandy, I like a laugh too, and that is all it was, just a bit of light heartednness.
She wasnt having a go about the situation.
Having a famiily member murdered, not from domestic violence, but something else. Not all murders are due to domestic violence.
So, she had a murder, I suffered dreadful domestic violence and I had a child take his own life..............terrible situations, but it is still nice to have a light hearted laugh now and again and she didnt mean anything more than a laugh.
I don't care if the poster is POTUS or the Queen of England, domestic violence should not be joked about.
You and others go on about domestic violence and murder etc.................but has any of it happened to you personally?
I and my kids had a terrible time with my ex their father..........have you ever been chased and had a knife held at your throat, well I have,
Last sunday it was the anniversary of my son, who took his own life..............why?..........I dont know, I live with that every single day of my life.
Dont preach to me about domestic violence and the consequenses it brings................UNLESS you have walked in Sandys shoes or mine!

How many men are abused emotionally, psychologically or physically? Any stats on that? Or we just don't care?
How many men are killed by their female partner? Any stats on that?
Or we just continue to compare the violent death of women to some emotional abuse of men?

Not everyone shares the sad aspects of their lives and not everyone shares a sense of humour but.......... I don't find many jokes funny and generally have to have "jokes" explained to me.
That doesn't mean I didn't think the one above was funny, I did. All it means is it was a light hearted story in a thread about abuse.
If we are offended by it, so be it, (it is fairly clear it is not real.)
would a joke about suicide be as funny? maybe not.
child abuse? definitely not.

Nobody is preaching.
And not everyone wants to disclose their history on here.
I doubt people would mnake the comments without some knowledge or experience of some sort.

Haven't compared anything. Never said men abusing women is acceptable or trivial. The point of the thread which you have demonstrated full well is that you don't really care about men who have been abused by women or am I mistaken?

It's not a competition and shouldn't be treated like one.

Nope, the title is "women who abuse men". Seems to me that's more about the women who abuse than the men who get abused.
And yes, you are mistaken.

And if you read the thread you will see where I clearly state that no, it is not acceptable for women to abuse men.
