World cup 2018 kicks off tonight.
32 finalists - 8 groups of 4 and each team plays the others once.
Top 2 teams go through to the round of 16.
Then Quarter finals, semi finals and final.
Aussie, aussie, aussie.................................... and Denmark. 
Brazil knock out Mexico as expected 2-0.
And Belgium had a scare after being 0-2 down to Japan.
Belgium win 3-2.
Another quarter final is Brazil vs Belgium.
With the 2 games played tonight to decide the last quarter finalists.
Sweden knock out the Swiss 1-0 and England win on penalties over Colombia.
It's great to have so many newer teams in the finals rather than the usual big 5 or 6.

So the quarter final matches 2018 are as such -
Uruguay vs France
Brazil vs Belgium
Sweden vs England
Russia vs Croatia
I was hoping for a Sweden England final but that won't happen. 
At least one might make it.
A convincing win to France over Uruguay 2 - 0
And Belgium upset Brazil 2 - 1
So France and Belgium will play one semi-final.
The other 2 quarter finals are tonight/early morning
Sweden vs England Russia vs Croatia
Croatia beat Russia in a penalty shoot out. Those Croats are lucky.
And England convincingly beat Sweden.
So the semi-finals are upon us - France vs Belgium - Wed 11th. 4am.
England vs Croatia - Thur 12th. 4am.
FRANCE wins 1-0 over Belgium.
