Worried about my cat.... warning to some.... talking about cat vomit...

She has been known to throw up food... done it all her life so not worried about that in general as she does not like some brands or additives... BUT this time she has thrown up clear mucus... she has done that before when she has eaten grass but there was no grass in her upchuck this time... 

she was sitting behind me when she did this and I didn't even hear her... 

I went looking for her and when I found her she had thrown up again but had this mucus running out of her nose as well  and was just hanging there... 

I cleaned her up and she was just really still and a bit angry at me for touching her... 

she then went outside 4hrs ago and I have not seen her since... bit unusual as it is getting dark... 

Anyone else had cats do this... and coming out of their nose (that is the part I am worried about) 

I don't think she is doing a sad cat routine..

I'd go the Vet. Could be a cold/flu.

I would take her to the vet, as it could be cat flu, and best to catch it early if it is.

She was fine before lunch...

There is no cure for a viral infection however the cat can be kept as comfortable as possible by keeping it warm and treating the symptoms. Your vet may prescribe eye drops or ointment for the conjunctivitis,

I have not seen her yet... won't know how she is until she shows herself... 

If there is nothing a vet can do I can possibly wait until the morning and if she is still looking unwell take her in then. 

I was just thinking about how well she is for her age... 10 years I have had her now.

lol.. she has given me plenty of those before... don't think it was as she has not thrown up anything other than mucus.

Cat hope cat is Ok, if she throws up bile, yellow colour that can be kidneys.

She may have had a fur ball, hope that was all was.
