Some mornings I quite enjoy listening to Sami and Yumi's breakfast show, this morning's topic was quite interesting:
To set the scene:
A friend has a beauty salon and employs two beauticians, one female, one male.
The female one went on maternity leave, leaving only the male one, who's 19, gay, and fresh out of beautician school. He's good at his work and the customers love him.
The boss says under no circumstances, however, is he to do Brazilian waxing of any of the female customers.
Some of the ladies however have no objection to the young guy doing it.
The owner faces a dilemma. If some of the ladies don't mind the guy doing it, does she have the right to ban him from doing them?
The five-call poll showed 2 said no problem if it's a gay guy, 2 said no way, I said no problem either way.
But what if it was a straight guy? NO WAY was the unanimous answer :^O
How would you vote?

from a legal angle, I think the boss has made the correct call and is in effect protecting her employee.
Considering the nature of the service, he is being left wide open to claims of assault if alone in a room with a member of the opposite gender.

Yes that's probably what the salon owner was concerned about, Crikey

Don't I know it, Cat 😄
They're the best out of the bunch IMO. The others are too juvenile, or too old-farty. Or too political lol.
