I'm not going to complain cause I hate summer, but we Sydney peeps haven't had one really.
I wonder if this is the wettest summer Sydney has had?

Don't you remember the last 2 summers in Sydney and surrounds? They were much wetter than this one.
2011 - wettest summer on record
2012 - wettest since 1998/1999

I know some outer suburbs got plenty of rain the other night kopen, but we've had very little here in my suburb for the past 2 months. Two showers and that's about it 😮

It's pouring rain and flooding around the mid-North coast and surrounds. I actually saw the sun today ... it made my eyes hurt.

how the hell can that be right ?
If 2012 was wettest since 98/99 then it must have been wetter than 2011
and therefore 2011 cant possibley have been the wettest ever
so at least one of those 2 statements are incorrect

Take care Crystal.. there is some very nasty weather round your way... lots of flooding as well but not sure if that is near you...
Please if you are driving around do not cross flooded roads, even if you think it is just a little bit of water it can take your car away or wash out roads underneath..... if you live near a place that is known to flood have your evacuation plan ready to enact...
Feeling for all of you guys down there..

Debra, I feel pretty safe where I am, but the surrounding areas are doing it tough. I was watching the rain yesterday, pelting down, the road was like a shallow river. I saw 3 near collisions ... on a road parallel to the Pacific Highway, but a few blocks away ...
One of the reasons I moved here, a year and a half ago, was because the internet said it had a great climate ... and first I moved from the UK because I didn't like sleet, and snow, and freezing rain, and black ice ... and then I ended up in Canberra ... and then I moved to Brisbane in the drought (that was good), and then I moved to Darwin ... then back to Brissie, and it was just colder than Darwin, but just as wet ... and here I am now, damp, dreary, sodden, housebound, forlorn and SAD.
